Philip Farugia,
 music & lyrics

A Western New York native, Philip is an accomplished
educator and performer with over 20 years experience.  A
lifelong musician Philip began his musical training at an
early age studying saxophone and piano.  Philip holds
degrees in music from SUNY Fredonia and has taught music in
Westfield NY, and is currently the choral director at West
Seneca East High School.  Under his direction his students
have performed all over the country and have received
distinguished recognition and awards.  His compositions and
choral arrangements have been performed by his students and
by groups through out the country.
Philip began writing music with his band mates in various
groups throughout high school and college but it wasn’t
until later in life that he discovered a love for writing
music for the theater.  Philip co-wrote the very
successful: SAY HELLO! A MUSICAL PARODY OF SCARFACE, in
addition to some other one-act musicals.  PRETTY/FUNNY
marks his first venture into full-length musical writing.
An award-winning actor, Philip has appeared on numerous
stages throughout WNY.  He has also served as music
director for many critically acclaimed productions including
“A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC”, “THE DROWSY CHAPERONE” and
“RING OF FIRE”.
Philips greatest accomplishment is being the proud father to
two beautiful and talented girls, Maria and Sofia
Farugia.
